Steves to visit campaign headquarters Monday afternoon and will host a lecture in the evening at the University of New England
Portland, ME — Travel guru Rick Steves will be visiting Maine starting on Monday, October 17 in support of Question 1. Rick will be holding a media availability at campaign headquarters during the day and hosting a lecture in the evening at the University of New England titled “Marijuana and Civil Rights in America: A European Perspective.”
Rick has donated to the Maine campaign and also supported other successful legalization initiatives in Washington and Oregon.
“We are excited that Rick Steves has come to our state to promote the common sense policy of regulating and taxing marijuana. Legalization is working in Colorado and Washington, and it will work here in Maine. Yes on 1 will generate millions in new tax revenue and free up law enforcement to focus on serious and violent crime.” – David Boyer, campaign manager for Yes on 1
