Prevent Cruelty to Pumpkins Campaign Launches for Halloween

Laugh More releases Parody message in time for Halloween

Los Angeles, CA – The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Pumpkins has popular actress, singer, anime voice actor, Brina Palencia, (Star-Crossed, The Walking Dead, Borderlands, One Piece) helping to raise awareness about the abuse and abandonment of the large orange gourds this Halloween.

The public service announcement on YouTube features Palencia on-camera as Cinderella pleading for the protection of pumpkins as she hands out candy to trick or treaters.

“For only $10 a day, less than the cost of a pumpkin spice latte, you can save a pumpkin’s life,” Palencia says.

Written by Diane Fredel-Weis and David Finch of Laugh More Entertainment and directed by Fredel-Weis, the video is available to view on YouTube.

The video was shot in Los Angeles and produced by Laugh More Entertainment.

Palencia is also the voice of the GPS in Laugh More’s award-winning short film, “Recalculating,” starring Zack Pearlman, Peter Gilroy and Cloris Leachman. The short has screened at the L.A. Comedy Festival, Portland Film Festival, NYC Cannabis Film Festival, Savannah Film Festival and is an official selection at the upcoming Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival and the Chicago Comedy Film Festival.
