Southwest Cannabis Conference & Expo Texas hosts Texas A & M Law School experts Professor Franklin G. Snyder and Kayla Brown at Ft. Worth Convention Center, February 27 and 28.
PHOENIX, AZ – The Southwest Cannabis Conference & Expo Texas will host a groundbreaking legal discussion on marijuana legislative developments in the Lone Star State. The educational panel is headlined by Texas industry leaders and law experts Professor Franklin G Snyder and Kayla Brown of Texas A & M Law School.

“Texas is a game-changer and the SWCCE is Texas’ coming out party,” said Brown regarding Texas officially entering the cannabis industry with its upcoming conference.
Franklin G. Snyder, professor of law, Texas A&M University Law School, will lead the conference’s educational legal panel. A published academic and renowned legal professor, Snyder considers himself a libertarian conservative and naturalized Texan whose expertise lies in business and regulatory aspects of marijuana law, legal entrepreneurship, and contract law and policy.
Legal dialogue will include a timely discussion on the Texas Compassionate Use Act that authorizes organizations to cultivate, process, and dispense low-THC cannabis to prescribed patients. It also requires the Department of Public Safety to license at least three dispensing organizations by September 2017.
Additional panelists from the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), Ryan Hurley of Rose Law Group, and Kayla Brown co-founder of Woman Grow Texas, will discuss current state and federal law regulations.
Brown is a current law student at Texas A & M Law School and Vice President of the school’s chapter of Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP). As an active industry leader, Brown serves as the co-founder and Executive Director of the Texas Cannabis Industry Association (TCIA). She is invested in creating a well-developed cannabis industry in Texas.
